Round Pond in Kensington
Gardens
An email from
Tanya after she rode to work
"I saw a goose this morning - actually about 500!! - on the
way to work
past the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens
They were just hanging around on the ground
Tanya"
Another note from
Tanya on Monday 28th February 2005
"Riding to work and there was ice in the Serpentine today
It was cold but clear and sunny - can't wait for summer when it
is hot and clear and sunny!"
(three photos)
London West End
This picture
covers the area from Ladbroke Grove in the west to Piccadilly
Circus in the east
and from Lords Cricket Ground in the north to Knightsbridge in
the south
It is interesting to note how green the capital seems to be with
dozens of open spaces
such as Regent's Park, Hyde Park, Green Park as well as the gardens
of Buckingham Palace,
numerous tree filled London Squares and sports grounds
There is much water as well
The Serpentine is the central feature of this picture
and small pleasure boats can be seen there
Also there are lakes at Buckingham Palace and Regent's Park,
The Grand Union Canal snaking its way in from the west
and of course Round
Pond in Kensington Gardens
