A note from
Sharon to Tanya
I picked them up from their hostel and we drove along the Cairns
Esplanade
and then out to Trinity Beach
As we drove past our place Dad was sitting in the driveway giving
us the finger!! --- Nice!!
I drove down to the beach so they could see it properly in the
light
because when we went back for dinner it would be dark
Just arrived!!! - Sharon, Nick and
Sarah
Stopped and bought some beers, came home,
Sarah------- Sarah and Nick
Sarah, Sharon and
Nick------ Brett, Nick, Sarah and Sharon
and then went and sat in the backyard til about 7.30pm
It was a lovely evening
I then showed them our new bedroom suite
and the cup-and-saucer you sent me from London in our china cabinet
Sarah looking at
some photos of Tanya
Plus all the pictures on the walls and lots of other stuff!
The restauranrt (three photos)
Then we went to L'Unico Trattoria Italiano for dinner
(I had mushroom risotto and it was delicous!)
They really enjoyed their meal and it was beautiful down there
After dinner we walked along the beach down to the stinger net
and then I took them back to town and their hostel
They have to be up at 4.00am on Friday for their balloon flight!
and click on the balloons for more details on their trip through
the skies
- plus a champagne breakfast
And they were tired after their second day in a row diving on
the reef
but they enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and we had a nice time
Sarah, Nick, Brett
and Sharon at L'Unico Trattoria Italiano Restaurant (two photos)
We had a pic taken with Sarah's camera and she is going to email
it to Dad to put up here
She promised us she would and I said I would hound her til she
did!!
We did take Brett's camera but it wouldn't open
- it was okay when we got home so dunno what the problem was
Mango
On the way back to the city I stopped at home, ran inside and
grabbed a mango to give them
to have tomorrow - 'cause they haven't had one yet
Hope they like it!! - everyone should have a mango!!
They are a really nice couple - I liked them both very much
Nick sounds like "a real pom" but he was quite funny
and Sarah is really nice
They are having some great adventures during their trip
- not just the normal sightseeing things!
That's about it
Love
Mum
