I arrived at work bags packed with winter woollies
but unfortunately no presents!!
I will admit to being slightly depressed about Christmas - not
only without my family with without a Christmas card to open!
BUT
after an anxious wait of nearly three weeks the presents
arrived on the morning of my departure!
I had presents - it just wouldnt have
been Christmas without a hand-made card from my Mum!
Anyway, I was happy and packed the presents in my backpack ready
for my White (hopefully) Christmas in the Scottish Highlands.
I left work early and headed straight to the Heathrow Airport.
It was packed but everyone was in a good mood - Christmas holidays
and all that.
The flight was pretty rough and fourty minutes was plenty of time
in the air.
There was lots of wind around Edinburgh and I was happy to land.
I took the bus into the city and then a taxi to the hostel.
The view of the Castle at night was great and
the hostel was so close to it.
I checked in and went to the dorm.
There were two girls in there having a chat - Melanie and Nicole.
It turned out that they were both on my Christmas tour starting
in the morning.
Melanie had two friends arrive at the hostel and they were on
the tour as well so I made some friends for the weekend.
