From Me......

......to My Family and all My Friends

"Bon Voyage"

Now I know that I have been talking about it for what seems like ages and I can't believe the time has actually come but on Monday I leave London for my backpacking holiday round Europe

I will be away for 82 days (yes I counted - for budgeting purposes really!) and travelling to Spain, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland and Greece (Athens and the islands)

I am starting off at Pamplona in Spain for the Running of the Bulls (no I am not running - far too scary!) and after various bus journeys, flights and boat rides I am ending up in Munich for Oktoberfest before returning to London to earn a little bit of cash (which I expect will be much needed) and try to decide what to do with myself

In case anyone wants to follow me round here is the link to the web page with my itinerary (thanx Dad)

Jason, Elle, Aaron, Nathan, Karen, Damo, Stacey, Cassie, Tracey - I can't believe you will all be home in OZ/NZ when I get back to London - it was great to meet you all and I know we will stay in touch - see you back in OZ/NZ somewhere, sometime

Ella, Lesley and Emma - thanx for having me for the last few weeks - your hospitality is much appreciated - remember I'll be back on 30 September, mid-afternoon - see you then!

Sharon (Mum) - enjoy your birthday - I know I will have a great time for you on the Greek Islands - Mykonos to be exact!

Brett - good luck on the Goldy and at the Worlds - I know you'll be great - if you see Amanda while you are down there give her a big hug from me and tell her I miss her loads!

Dad - I will try to take it easy on you with photos for the website - only a few at a time!!

Mark & Nat & Jaylon and the rest of the basketballers - good luck for the start of the new Taipans season - as usual I will be keeping an eye on things

Claire - take good care of the "pink machine" now she is yours - she has done a great job getting me to and from work - rain, hail, shine and even snow

Irma - keep on pole dancing - I may need some new moves when I get back if I can't get secretarial work!

Tyson & Christine & Tia - I hope you have a great first birthday for Tia - I still can't believe I am yet to meet your little princess

David - keep sending me those Cowboys scores and I need someone to volunteer to keep me updated with Origin 3 and the Ashes as well!

Kim - don't expect me to return the favour of writing a daily novel of my holiday like you did - although I did love reading it

Sonya & Scotty & ? - hopefully your little one won't be walking and talking by the time I eventually get back and I will have some time to exert some kind of influence over him/her/them!

Everyone else - I know I am slack at keeping in touch but I really do think of you all often
All the photos that I get sent, I forward to Dad and he puts them on the website for me so I can look at them whenever I want and lots of you are in a small photo album that I carry with me and flick through when I feel a long way from home and it always cheers me up!

Phone calls and texts will be quite expensive to send (but not to receive so for those of you so inclined the number is +447709543266 - would be nice to hear from you!) so the plan is not to use the mobile too much while I am away but knowing me I would rather tell you all that I saw or did something amazing than eat so you never know!!

Will write again from the road - so stay tuned!!
