A group of us met for breakfast and by the time we got organised it was about 10.30am and we headed to the Castle.

Battlements at the Castle---"Me and a big cannon" (two photos)

"Me sitting on a cannon ball"------"Terrorist Tanya" (two photos)

(two photos) Views over Edinburgh ------ (two photos)

Tanya on the Castle walls

It was quite interesting but there were far too many battles and King James etc to keep track off.

Edinburgh Castle

The Dog Cemetery (two photos)

I did find though a cute little dog cemetery where the soldiers’ dogs were buried - it was sweet.

Edinburgh

Side street and Scot Monument

After wandering around there and getting lots of photos I wondered around the shops a bit.
It was looking for a Nessie for my desk collection.

Edinburgh

The ice rink

I went down the hill to Princes Street where there were Christmas Markets and they were preparing for Hogmanay.
There was an ice ring and Ferris wheel.

Edinburgh

"The coolest hat in the history of hats"

I bought the coolest hat in the history of hats - I love it and everyone comments on it - just wait till you see it!!

I went back to the hostel and a few of the girls were snoozing after a long day walking.

I organised to go out for dinner with Nikki because neither of us particularly wanted to do the 'Ghost Walk' that some people were doing - too cold and rainy and windy.

We had an early dinner and hung around in the hostel for the night.
